What to expect

Your first appointment

Around 45 minutes to an hour with an independent, GCC-registered chiropractor, at a clinic we’ve visited. Here’s how it usually goes.

A full consultation

Your history, your symptoms, what’s been going on — where it hurts, when it started, what makes it better or worse.

A physical examination

How you move, stand and sit. Wear something comfortable you can move in.

A plain explanation

The chiropractor explains what they’ve found, in plain English.

A discussion, not a hard sell

You discuss what they’d recommend, if anything — with costs stated before anything else happens.

You’re under no obligation to book anything further.

If you and the chiropractor decide it’s worth continuing, you book any further appointments directly with the clinic — entirely your choice, entirely between you and them.

What to bring

Comfortable clothes you can move in, a note of any medication you take, and any recent scan results or letters if you have them. Nothing else is needed.

Who you’ll see

An independent, GCC-registered chiropractor at a clinic we’ve visited. Your confirmation names them, so you can look them up on the public register at gcc-uk.org.
